Knowledge Systems Analysis for Climate Knowledge Brokers

This module introduces Knowledge Systems Analysis (KSA), a methodology developed by CKB to allow for more focused and effective knowledge brokering interventions. It analyses knowledge systems connected to climate-sensitive value chains, by identifying the different actors within a system, the climate knowledge they offer and the climate knowledge they need, and the ways in which they exchange this knowledge with other actors. Where information is lacking or not communicated in a useful way, interventions can then be designed to ensure that all actors have access to the knowledge they need to make good decisions and increase the resilience of the value chain as a whole. The video offers a quick introduction to SKA, and the module also includes a real-life case study taken from one of the pilots carried out to test the methodology.

“Making sure all these actors link together and form solid chains of information sharing is a big challenge.” – Find out more in this module.
