In order to get the CKB Manifesto where it is today, fifteen people connected with the group have conducted interviews with climate knowledge brokers and users of climate knowledge – about 80 in total. We wanted to understand their views on how climate information and knowledge is used, and how it can most effectively be made available, given the multiplicity of user needs.
The interviewers came together in Vienna in the beginning of May for an editorial conference to analyse the responses and discuss what they had learned. Those discussions form the basis for the draft Manifesto that we are currently writing and will bring to the workshop for feedback.
The interviews were tremendously informative so we are publishing some of them:
- CKB Manifesto Interview with Jukka Uosukainen Jukka Uosukainen is Director of the UN´s Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN). The interview was conducted by Gustavo Faleiros, InfoAmazonia and Earth Journalism Network.
- CKB Manifesto Interview with Ann Gordon Ann Gordon is the National Coordinator in the National Climate Change Office in the Ministry of Forestry, Fisheries and Sustainable Development in Belize. The interview was conducted by Timo Baur from the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).
